How to Comment on PSE’s Permit Application
It’s time to tell your city to say “NO” to Puget Sound Energy
PSE has applied for permits to construct new transmission lines in South Bellevue, Newcastle, and Renton. PSE will file for additional permits in North Bellevue and Redmond in coming months. Any person who sends comments to the city will have the opportunity to appeal city decisions about the project. We encourage you to send an email to your city of residence to secure this opportunity to appeal.
You may also submit comments during public hearings that will be held in each city later this year, as early as May or June. No city has yet selected a date for its hearing.
The permit documents can be found here: Energize Eastside Permit Documents
Even though CENSE will appeal a permit to build PSE’s project to double the voltage and install larger poles on 18-miles of existing transmission lines, there are two important reasons why RESIDENTS should submit comments regarding PSE’s application to build this project.
- You will preserve YOUR right to file an appeal if the project is permitted.
- Your city will know that residents do not want the city to approve PSE’S application to build this project.
