Important CENSE Workshop THIS Saturday, May 20th
Last week CENSE wrote to let you know that the draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for PSE’s “Energize Eastside” had been released. CENSE has been hard at work in reviewing this formidable document (nearly 900 pages). We are holding a workshop this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Eastshore Unitarian Church in Bellevue. Coffee and pastries will be provided.
We invite you to attend this important event where you will learn CENSE’s findings on the EIS, engage in small group discussions, and capture your EIS comments. Bring your laptop or iPad if you like (WiFi available).
The important thing to remember is that you don’t have to have any particular area of expertise to comment on the EIS. Everyone’s comments are valuable. The EIS staff is required to respond to every comment.
CENSE highly encourages you to comment on the EIS. Go to the CENSE EIS comment guide to get materials that will help guide you through the process. The comment period deadline is June 21st. You can comment in person at three public meetings (listed below), via email or snail mail.
Public Comment Meetings:
- Tuesday, May 23, 6:00-8:30 PM at Oliver Hazen High
- Thursday, May 25, 6:00-9:00 PM at Bellevue City Hall
- Saturday, June 3, 2:00-4:30 PM at Rose Hill Elementary
The EIS document may be downloaded using the links on the official Phase 2 Draft EIS page.
